"I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for the infant massage course.  It was so encouraging and educational, a perfect combination of structure and freedom and information and warmth."

Q- When can I start and up till what point in the pregnancy can I get a Prenatal Massage?
A- Our therapists know how to position and work with pregnant clients safely and effectively, thoughout each stage of pregnancy. So you can come in for a massage anytime from one to forty-one weeks (click here to read more about massage during the first trimester).

Q- What kind of massage do you do?
A- We do Therapeutic Massage that addresses the muscles but with a soothing, nurturing feel. Massage sessions are customized based on client's ideal pressure level, areas in need of special attention, areas you'd like us to avoid, positions you are most comfortable in, and if there are any techniques you particularly like or dislike, and other preferences.

Q- How will I be able to lay on the table with my belly?
A- we have special contour cushions that can support pregnant women safely and comfortably in prone (facing down), side, or semi-reclining positions all the way through 42 weeks, while maintaining proper spinal alignment. We can work in whichever positions you're most comfortable with.

Q- How soon after I deliver can I come back for a Postnatal Massage?
A- You can come in as soon as you like after you deliver. We are uniquely equipped to care for you immediately post-delivery no matter what type of birth you've had, including c-sections. We recommend massage soon as possible, to help your body rebalance after the intense experience of labor and birth.

Q- Are there really some points on your feet and hands that can make you go into labor?
A- There are some Shiatsu (Acupressure) and Reflexology points that are said to induce and strengthen labor. We use these in our labor induction and labor support massages. During a regular Prenatal Massage we avoid direct stimulation of these points.
